March Meeting Notes : Doug Robertson
Roll call was taken and minutes read and approved. Discussion on upcoming event at Frank Raines which falls under both old and new business. Things are shaping up for Memorial weekend and we look forward to making it a success.
It was discussed whether to reprint the by-laws at this time and it was voted that we will print amendment pages that can be inserted into the current By-Laws book. They will be out in the near future.
There was talk about the decline of buggy clubs in the Northern CA area. Doug will contact the River City president to see about the possibility of drawing in some of their members as they are no longer active as a club.
Anna brought in a flyer sent by her dad, Ralph Clark, on a car show in Downtown Oroville on May 12th put on by the Oro Dam Cruisers. It looks like it should be a big show with lots of awards given out. For more info contact Bob Buskirk (530) 533-4219 or
e-mail at bobby@sunset.net .
Members voted to contribute $75 to the Blue Ribbon Coalition. Dawn will mail them a check.
Ken Swenson discussed adding a forum to our web site. It would be a place where people could go to ask questions or discuss buggy related subjects. He is going to see what is involved and report back to the members.
I received a card from Pat Malato that Phyllis “The Sand Flea” had undergone a complete hip replacement surgery. Everything went well and after two weeks she is already walking with the use of a cane. They hope to see all that make the journey to St. Anthony dunes the first week of August. A Big THANK YOU to those that have called and sent cards.
More on Frank Raines:

New members, the Gnutzman’s are working on the event t-shirts and will supply the award plaques. Diana Mead is heading up the food department for the dinner and will be looking for volunteers to help. Ken Swenson is going to solicit some potential sponsors for the event.
